Supply Chain Update # 2
To keep you better informed, we will be bringing you a supply chain update every week until further notice. This week we'll be covering the JBL HDI-3800 and HDI-1200P, JBL Synthesis HDA-2200 and HDA-7120, and Lexicon SL-1.
The much-anticipated mass production of the flagship HDI floor standing loudspeaker occurred last week. The JBL HDI-3800 will be on the water heading to the various regions this week. If you haven’t pre-ordered these yet, I suggest you contact your regional sales manager to get some on order so you can take delivery of them in May.
The JBL HDI-1200P is also going into mass production in April and will be shipping for delivery prior to Memorial Day.
Here is a video on the HDI line if you want to learn a little more about our HDI products:
JBL Synthesis HDA-2200 and HDA-7120 Dante Class G amplifiers are now on the water heading to the regions who have ordered them. Our first production of these great amplifiers consisted of 200 units of the JBL SDA-2200 and 158 units of the JBL SDA-7120. Besides being a perfect companion to the SDP-55 and SDR-35, these amplifiers make a great option to any home theater system. They are DANTE enabled to make wire management and programming of the amplifier outputs a snap.
Lastly, the Lexicon SL-1 is either in stock or now shipping to all countries. Check with your regional sales manager on stock availability. This groundbreaking loudspeaker system continues the legacy of our Harman Luxury Audio innovation. This marvel of technology consists of 33 loudspeaker drivers (12 x 3/4" tweeters, 16 x 2" midrange drivers, 4 x 5.25" woofers and a 10" subwoofer) and 23 amplifier channels, each with an output of 650 watts (RMS) per loudspeaker. The drivers are arranged in a 360-degree configuration around the Lexicon loudspeaker’s hourglass-shaped housing.
Even though these speakers ship with detachable 4-panel grilles, we believe the customers who own these will show off what $50,000 gets them. The SL-1 Speaker system also comes with the SLC-1 wireless controller which establishes the connection from an audio source via a variety of interfaces. In addition to streaming via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi (802.11b/g/n/ac), the Lexicon SLC-1 offers four HDMI inputs, an HDMI output featuring ARC, a 3.5 mm jack and an optical SPDIF input. The network connection can also be established via an Ethernet interface (10/100 Mbps, RJ45) for increased robustness. The entire speaker system supports high-definition 24-bit transmission and universal audio standards, including PCM, AAC, FLAC, MP3 and WMA (via HDMI and SPDIF).
