How did AVXellence get its start?
AVXellence started operations in 2003 with a small office space and a single demo-room to showcase the limited amount of gear we had available at the time. Our goal was and continues to be to provide our customers with the best home entertainment systems possible, whilst making the shopping experience seamless and enjoyable.

How many people are on the AVXellence team?
We are a team of 14 passionate AV enthusiasts.

Thoughts on the importance of training?
Since we are fortunate enough to be involved with technology at a high level, every day presents an opportunity to learn something new. Our teams spend a tremendous amount of time, not just in understanding our customers pain points, but also on new product trainings, discussing practical experiences with different products and internally training new hires to establish and strengthen our knowledge base. Being on the mission to be the best home AV systems provider in the country, we require not only the best talent, but also individuals with the enthusiasm to learn new things and ask great questions so our customers get systems that are best-in-class and future ready.

What do you like most about HARMAN Luxury Audio products?
Most of the big cinema chains in India have always featured HARMAN sound and it’s the type of sound signature that a lot of people grew up with. For that reason, the HARMAN Luxury Audio products we have at our experience studio seem to resonate with people and provide the finesse that the discerning audiophiles are looking for. We feature the Arcam, Revel and JBL Synthesis line-up at our experience studio.

How do you think the luxury audio industry is currently doing?
Currently, our industry seems to be in a good place. The COVID-19 outbreak triggered multiple national and state-level lockdowns in the country and that seems to have caused a slight boom as more and more people felt the need to either bring home a nice surround system or upgrade their existing one. However, the COVID-19 outbreak also seems to have triggered a global supply-chain disruption; that along with increases in freight costs have caused inventory shortages and huge price-hikes across all product lines. It is a tricky situation for us to navigate and our team is doing the best we can to continue to ensure that our customers are happy and receive the best service support in the country.
