Stereophile has announced its 2019 Product of the Year Awards, and the Revel F228Be took home the honors of top loudspeaker. The three-way floorstanders earned five first place votes and three second place votes to finish atop a distinguished roster of competitors.

Here are some highlights from the announcement:

“What distinguishes the Indonesian-made Revel are both the degree of refinement apparent in its design and a level of value that led (reviewer) Kal Rubinson to declare that this speaker exists as a challenge to justify charging any significantly higher price for a domestic loudspeaker.”

“Technical Editor John Atkinson concluded his measurements with praise for the speaker’s ‘excellent’ engineering.”
